Costa Rica IT Alliance & Services Summit 2010
PSI participated in the Costa Rica IT Alliance & Services Summit 2010 hosted in San Jose, Costa Rica on 7th & 8th July, 2010. The event was organized by the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica (PROCOMER), as a B2B interaction between companies from the United States, Panama, the Caribbean, Europe, India and Costa Rican IT firms that are looking to expand their business. Event involved companies from diverse IT sectors such as mobile applications, SaaS, web designing, Nearshore Outsourcing solutions, quality assurance, testing, software development, architecture, animation, video gaming and functionality.
San Jose, Costa Rica, July 8, 2010: PSI participated in the Costa Rica IT Alliance & Services Summit 2010, a B2B meet of Costa Rican IT companies with service providers from countries around the globe. The Summit was organized by ‘Procomer’ to encourage partnerships & business between Global IT companies and Costa Rican IT industry.
Alike many other companies, PSI participated in the Summit to understand the Costa Rican IT Industry and indentify possible business synergies with local players. Costa Rica is an emerging IT destination and the Global IT Service Model needs a collaborative approach to succeed in the new economy which has evolved beyond geographical barriers.
Many companies showed a lot of interest to collaborate with PSI in Software Product Development space to offer innovative solutions. PSI being a leading player in product engineering space in the USA & Canada market, found mutual synergies with Costa Rican IT companies as well as some US based companies which were participating in the Summit. Many Costa Rican companies having good presence in the US market found PSI’s unique outsourcing model highly lucrative & in synch with their growth plans. By utilizing PSI’s global delivery capabilities, the nearshore companies in Costa Rica attain much needed flexibility & agility to cater to diverse IT needs of the US market.
Post the summit, PSI President – Mr. Gulab Sharma said, “On the whole, I think it has been a very interesting & fruitful visit. Costa Rican companies will need to be ahead of times to catch up with their counterparts in Asia and this Summit is a step in the right direction.
